My Dear Friend of Democracy,
I took the night train going from Kyiv to Chisinau. Not the whole distance. Only the last part, on Moldovan territory, from Ungheni to the capital, Chisinau.
So I was on the safe side. Unlike all the other passengers on board. They had boarded in a war zone. And they reminded me how important it is for a democracy to be able to defend itself in a way that there is nothing to gain by attacking it. Best dictators know this beforehand. Then they keep their hands off democracies.
See you in Democracy,
Johannes
