My Dear Friend of Democracy,
What is the most important thing people have?
It's the other people, stupid.
Imagine a world in which you are the only one. You would probably not survive for long. At least not well. You would lack everything.
Isn't it strange how we often deal with this most important thing? How we get annoyed, how we talk about them, how we treat our fellow human beings.
Perhaps we can value our fellows better if we sometimes imagine a world where we are the only people.
See you in Europe,
Johannes
The best reminder of this is to recognize that where you're born—your country, race, and family—is all by chance, and you didn't do anything to earn it. This is the best encouragement to treat others better.
