My Dear Friend of Democracy,
Today, just a photo I took yesterday in a city that belongs to the third-largest metroplex in Europe, after London and Paris.
You know what I am talking about?
About the Rhine-Ruhr Valley. It is a highly industrialised, densely populated region of Germany that includes the major cities of Bonn, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Dortmund and Essen.
Parts of this region were formerly Germany's coal-mining region, now the area is known for being one of the continent's densest cultural landscapes.
I took the photo from my hotel showing Bochum main station.
See you in Germany,
Johannes Eber
I'm a Democratic American. Are Democrats welcome in Europe still? Trying to stay optimistic but it's hard when Americans around you are not waking up enough to realize that we have to resist in numbers. I'm hoping the economic blackout on Friday is taken seriously by everyone.
